Sony BMG Taiwan has issued a legal letter to Tips Industries claiming damages over Rs. 2 crore for the Race song Zara Zara Touch Me Touch Me Touch Me which has been plagiarized from a Wang Lee Hom tune. The record label has claimed that the song, Zara Zara Touch Me, is a copy of Lee Hom’s Deep In The Bamboo Grove from his 2004 album Shangri-La.
Sony BMG Taiwan has seeked damages over this particular song for on the following grounds
1. Using the song without authorisation, filling in Indian lyrics and claiming it as an original composition.
2. Turning the song into part of a movie, complete with its own music video.
3. Playing the song on TV and radio stations.
4. Releasing the song in various forms, including ringtone and Internet download.
5. Selling the song in the form of cassette tape, CD, VCD and DVD.
When contacted, Pritam refused to comment on this matter whereas a Tips official accepted the fact that they been sent a legal notice and that the above mentioned damages have been claimed.
Pritam has got for himself a notorious image of directly lifting South Asian song tunes shamelessly and passing them as his own. Whenever probed on the matter of song lifts he always says, "I always tell my makers to give due credit to the original composer on the album cover but not all comply."
A website that exposes all Indian music directors of their copied tunes by posting the original numbers along side them has Pritam at the top! He has copied more than over 100 tunes till now they have proved it!

But Kumar Sanu has been a sport and never takes offence at Udit’s remarks. Instead the practical Sanu chooses to show camaraderie and ignore Udit’s comments. Guess, Udit must try the situation in a different way so that the situation can stop eating him and instead he can start eating the situation. Kyun thik hain na?

Both had first met on the sets of Indian Idol’s first season and grown closer as the reality show progressed. Once the show was over there good friendship resulted in an affair and both would be openly seen holding hands together at film events and movie shows in Mumbai Multiplexes. But, friends of Prajakta claim, "Rahul’s behaviour has changed after winning the Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar" crown and he completely started ignoring Prajakta after the show got over. He perhaps is enamoured more by the adulation he is getting after his win. He is loving the female attention he has started getting after winning the Superstar title. He wants to make a career as an actor now and old friends and old love like singing are no longer on his agenda! He has made it clear to her that he is no longer wanting to carry on with their relationship."

You might have heard about rich papas launching their sons but it’s not often that you find a successful son re-launching his dad, who is old enough to retire in peace.
That’s what Himesh Reshammiya, the indomitable spirit of the Entertainment Industry as well as Zee TV’s Sa re ga ma pa did. The man who has been the talk of the town for his Chinese hair cut and wagging tongue recently proclaimed his idea of re-launching his father on the show, which was dedicated to him. There’s been a history of Bolly-stars who after earning a lot of fame and money in their peak time, ended up having a zero balance account. If we look back in past, we have examples like Bhagwan Dada, superstar Rajesh Khanna and most recently Jackie Shroff and Govinda who failed to maintain the balance between their bank balance and the amount which goes in maintaining their star status. Yet another addition to it is singer Baba Sehgal, who came into limelight with his popular rap number Thanda Thanda Paani. Two years ago, the rapper had taken a loan of Rs. 20 and Rs. 10 lakhs for his business and housing purposes from a bank but hasn’t been able to pay it back even after getting regular notices from the concerned bank. Not only that now Baba has even cheated with the bank by selling out the properties he had mortgaged.

Mika and singing! Shocked? Not yet? Well there is something else that can help you even envisaging better reactions of a shocked person. It’s a fact yet fictitious. Mika has demanded himself as the best singer of the country! Well, well, well.
This question comes from Mika who considers himself as the best singer of the country. Mika is very excited nowadays with his latest number, the title track in Akshay Kumar starrer Sing is Kinng. Not only this, he has taken all the credit of the song getting hit and popular to himself. Till that point the boasting Mika looked quite happy. But his expression changed with the next issue that came along revealing the fact behind the fiction.
The self-content singer is not happy with the fact that the same song has been sung by a Hollywood singer called Snoopy Dog. And this is natural that no one can tolerate and share his success with someone else. So, the poking nose commented on Snoopy that how can a dog be compared with a King (Mika). And not only this, Mika is also angry because the promotional song of the film has been shot with Akshay Kumar and Snoopy Dog instead of him.
There is no end to the discussion of God and likewise it is not possible to put a stop to Mika’s boasting words. One man who continues to get impressed with Amitabh Bachchan with every passing day is Vishal Dadlani. He along with Shekhar has been constantly interacting with the Bachchans for last so many years and the fact which always amazes him is Big B’s impeccable music sense.
"We have worked with the likes of Mr. Dutt (Sanjay Dutt) and Abhishek Bachchan when it comes to singing songs. However, if we have to pick up the ultimate star who knows a great deal about music, it would be one and only Mr. Bachchan", says Vishal who is currently traveling with Bachchans along with Shekhar for the Unforgettable tour.
"He is one man who knows in and out about the music. As everyone is aware by now, he is also rendering quite a few chartbuster songs of his from the yesteryears at the ongoing shows. However, it is not just singing that he is involving himself into. Apart from that, he is also taking charge of music whenever something exciting comes to his mind. For one of the tracks that he performed on in the show gone by, he also instructed the men behind guitar and keyboard", continues Vishal Dadlani.
"While working with him, one can’t help but look in sheer awe", sighs Vishal, "Even though he is perfect in his art, he also makes sure that everyone enjoys while he/she is doing. To add to that, the way he sings is also in ’sur’ with not much correction required during sound engineering. We are not really required to touch his voice much. He is a man who knows the ‘ragas’. Seriously, for him music is not just a hobby. For him, it is passion, just like acting."
In their close to decade old career, Vishal-Shekhar have come together with Amitabh Bachchan quite a few times in albums like KAANTE, EK AJNABEE, BHOOTHNATH and soon to be released ALADIN.

Ever since the event has been conceptualized, it has been a roaring success all over with millions being raised. In fact looking at the success of the event, Pankaj Udhas had went on to state that he was contemplating taking it outside Mumbai as well, the city where it is being regularly held.
He had said, "As artists, we earn a lot of name, fame and money. Through Khazana we try to give back to the society a little bit of what we can do for them. I am proud to inform you that all artists who perform at Khazana, from the senior most to newcomers, do it for free. Encouraged by this gesture we have decided to take Khazana to other cities."
This year, to be held on 25th and 26th July, the event would be dedicated to Begum Akhtar. Apart from Pankaj Udhas, others who would be performing in the show are Anup Jalota, Talat Aziz, Abhijit Pohankar and Penas Masani. They would be singing few songs of Begum Akhtar in addition to other ghazals.
